Anastasija is:

GORAN TRAJKOSKI: lead vocal, bagpipes, flute
ZORAN SPASOVSKI: drums, percussions, keyboards, back. vocal
ANASTASIA have existed for 8 years. The group comes from Skopje. Macedonia and is the most successful group in it’s own country.
Their music is a unique blend combining: the Byzantine past, through Eastern Orthodox church music, with a rich gamut of ethnic rhythms.
They play acoustic instruments typical for the area where they come from and dwell in, such as: kaval (flute), gajda (bagpipe), tapan (drum) , and also use modern technology: computers, samplers, synthesizers, etc.
ANASTASIA has had numerous concerts home and abroad with remarkable success. Furthermore, they have made numerous music scores for: films, theater performances and TV programs. For instance, the original soundtrack for the movie "Before the Rain" bearing Polygram label has been sold in thousands of copies worldwide. In 1996 ANASTASIA wrote the music for the theater performance "Bachanallia" which had it’s European tour with remarkable international success. In 1997 and 1998 ANASTASIA wrote the music for the theater performance "The Gospel according to the shadows" by Vlado Georgievski in The National Theater of Bitola, ballet performance "Endless travel" by a young choreographer Iskra Sukareva for the National Ballet of Macedonia, music for the short - meter film "The Clock" by Igor Izi Ivanov, the winner of the Salzburg Film Festival in 1997, music for the theater performance "Powder keg" by Dejan Dukovski, directed by Miss. Varvara Mavromati in "AMORE " Theater in Athens , Greece, theater performance "Hamlet" By William Shakespeare, directed by Vlado Cvetanovski.
In the first half of 1998 ANASTASIA released their new album: "NOCTURNAL" on CD and cassette, which was recorded in Skopje and Athens, Greece.
On September 5th 1998 ANASTASIA appeared on the main stage on EXPO 98 in Lisbon, Portugal.
